CKI's Mission

  Developing college and university students into responsible citizens and leaders
with a lifelong commitment to serving the children of the world.

 
CKI's Pledge
    I pledge to uphold the Objects of Circle K International, to foster compassion
and goodwill toward others through service and leadership, to develop my
abilities and the abilities of all people, and to dedicate myself to the
realization of mankind’s potential.

Circle K International is:

  1. The world's largest collegiate student-led community service organization which spanning 18 nations.
  2. A service leadership program under the Kiwanis Family (Key Club, Builders Club, K-Kids, etc.)
  3. Built upon the three wonderful tenets of Service, Leadership, and Fellowship.
  4. Service partner to UNICEF, BetterWorld Books, March of Dimes, and STUFH.
  5. Members contribute more than one million service hours each year.
  6. Educator of public issues impacting children and their environments.
  7. One of the organizations which helped to completely eradicate iodine deficiency disorders (IDD).
  8. The creating organization of the Six Cents Initiative with UNICEF which combats preventable deaths due to lack of clean water and sanitation.
  9. A promoter of the realization of mankind's potential and the epitome of awesomeness.

Levels:
      •           CKI International:
    • 525+ clubs in 18 nations, governed by the elected International President, Vice-President, and Subregion Representatives.
  •           Subregion: 
  • Composed of neighboring districts whose contact person is the Subregion Representative.
  •           District:
  • Composed of all clubs in pertinent states, governed by the elected Governor, Secretary, Treasurer, Bulletin Editor, and Lieutenant Governors.
  •           Division:
  • Composed of neighboring clubs in a district whose contact person is the Lieutenant Governor (LTG).
  •           Club:
  • Composed of members from a college or university, governed by the elected President, Vice-President(s), Secretary, and Treasurer.

    Carolinas District:
    1. In Subregion G with Alabama, The Caribbean, Florida, and Georgia.
    2. Composed of North and South Carolina clubs .
    3. 6 divisions - Blue Ridge, Capital, Coastal, Metro, Palmetto, and Triad.
    4. Considered one of the most active districts and is in the most active subregion.

Vision Statement
The Carolinas District of Circle K International, through service, leadership,and fellowship, will effectively collaborate with District’s Circle K clubs, improvethe member experience, and enhance the quality of life and opportunities for the campuses and communities of the Carolinas District.


Mission Statement
The Carolinas District will realize its vision by:
  1. Actively working with clubs to increase membership by promoting member recruitment, member retention and public relations programs.
  2. Creating and promoting opportunities for Kiwanis Family interclub and intraclubrelations and district events.
  3. Supporting and advising clubs on fundraising efforts, techniques and implementation.
  4. Providing the necessary tools, examples, and training for leadership development.
  5. Encouraging each club to capitalize on existing resources from clubs,districts and Circle K International.

"Focusing on the Future: Children"

"Fundraising Initiative"
    (Six Cents Initiative in partnership with UNICEF)

           Circle K International strives to accomplish these following goals:

  1. 100,000 sachets of Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) to help children combat dehydration
  2. 65,000 collapsible water containers for transporting and storing 10 liters of water10,000 small scale micro-filters intended to provide safe drinking water in schools
  3. 1,000 basic family water kits for families to use during an emergency situation
  4. What sets Circle K apart from other service clubs?It focuses on leadership development and offers the tools and opportunities to help members develop into active citizens within their communities (even if not their hometown communities).
  5. It holds several training conferences throughout the year, allowing members to serve in positions from the club level up to the international level, developing useful and essential leadership skills for careers.
  6. It provides unique networking opportunities for college students, linking themto members worldwide.
  7. It allows members to interact with all levels of the Kiwanis Family, enriching themwith new perspectives.
  8. It helps develop social and professional to become skills necessary  fluorishing adults.
